Jay I LOVE You

I sought high and low for OCBC Credit Card Holders to buy Jay's pre-sale tickets but the earliest bird didnt get the best worm for his manager added one on his bday instead! I am not exactly an avid crazy fan so didnt try to get seats for this show instead. Nevertheless, it was my maiden concert experience and it's HIGH! Some pics..

Before the concert, outside the indoor stadium, doesnt look like jay at all la.. but i dn care!

I must blog abt how I manage to get the cap! After knowing my seats, I went back out to sigh at the ever long Q so I went to ask the person at counter whether there are still stock left when its my turn. I dont know whether my tone is sha jiao but he asked how many we want and asked us to wait by the side! Then he brought out and we met at a dark place where we did our black market exchange. when we asked whether he wants tip, he said "did i sell u anything?" and walked away. So I was already in cloud nine way before the concert. Lol. I got so carried away that I forgot to get one for our danjay!

To Horni: Hmmm I'm not really sure how to comment but ya, dont keep thinking on the bad things okies? maybe u'll realise it's not a very big issue after all? huggies

To Looni: Woah thanks for the JK updates, lol. I declared ending work on last day of feb, this time really no extension already so hopefully we can study together. meanwhile, i think u can sms, email or msn me the debit/credit ba, hope i can help, if not, i still got shen above me to ask, hehe. Hey NiNis!!!! its me... ya i know i havent been updating much... ok... why is it blurry days? bcos ever since 08 started... everything has been a blur... Its juz work work work & more work.... quite depressing ah... LoL... find one day lets go KTV.... have release stress ah!!!! Can i juz marry a rich man & be a tai-tai?!

Screwed Horni Updates

FYI, I just woke up. Fell asleep at around 10pm and woke up at around 2am. When I woke up, I soon realised that my mother has not switched off the lights (both living room and kitchen), had not washed the dishes for me, rubbish bag not thrown. Generally it was the same state when I dozed off. I was really quite tired. Maybe coz I was stuck in a jam which was caused by this accident (sorry no English news up on the Internet yet). The bus was totally NOT moving for a good 30-45min, almost everyone was going crazy and was particularly irritated. I wanted to puke, and my calves harden and started to show signs of deep vein thrombosis or economy class syndrome. Ya, the jam was that bad. Slow moving traffic all the way from Clementi didn't help. In the end I reached home around 9pm. I even managed to catch part of Deal or No Deal on the bus.

To be honest, I was quite irritated/ disappointed with my mother for not helping me, especially when she knew that I was asleep as she had came into my room to told me that the previously mentioned accident injured 12 people. It is not that I am expecting my mother to do all the household chores, neither is it that she is not doing any chores -- she still does clean up the kitchen as the CNY is nearing.

It is just that of recent I feel more like a good-life maid than a daughter to her. Ya, she dotes on me and satisfies me materialistically (which is another problem; which I will elaborate later). She will not offer to help even if I am tired or busy. So in a nutshell, no matter what I am doing, how I am feeling, I will still have to finish all the remaining household chores. It is not that I mind doing chores, but at times when I am busy or don't-feel-all-that-well, I would really appreciate some minor help. There are times when I am like a maid, carrying all things big and small whereby my mother only carries her bag or bread. Once, she nearly threw her temper at me when I told her I was going to meet my friend after she had done some major CNY shopping. She was only appeased when I told her I will pick up the stuffs from the car when I am back. To pick up most of the items, I would have to go make 2 trips alone to the car. I've got to stress again -- I don't mind doing things for her, but at times I appreciate some minor help.

Of recent, I am really quite pressurised and tensed-up. I am feeling the pressure to start working and earning because:

1. I admit that my mum satisfies me materialistically, at times almost lavishly (eg Lasik treatment). But what most people don't know is that she requests the same treatment as well. Background: for her bdays and Mother's Day, without celebration and present would mean cold war for at least 3 days. Cheap gifts don't satisfy her. Since sec 2, I would spend around $100 on her birthdays. (for her recent birthday I had spent less than $100 though) Even giving gift itself is insufficient; but explaining that would go beyond financial aspects.
   
2. Ang Pow talk. Recently my mother asked me,"you are so old already you still dare to talk ang pows??" erm.. my uncles and aunties older than me are taking, and I am not married. Why can't I take?? What's the problem here??? Note: I am not too crazy over taking ang pows, but the fact that she is trying to restrict is disturbing. Mother had this conversation with me twice.
   
3. I once told my mother I will buy her a set of Corningware when I am 30. Note: a spoon from Corningware can cost a few dollars. So a set would cost me near $1000 or around $1000. She recently asked me why need to wait till I am 30 when if got promotion only $69 a set. Digress: I think that set is either out-dated patterns or just a small set.
   
4. As and when, she will mention that I am 24/25 already, but my savings is miserable.
   
5. Once, my show-off auntie bragged that her daughter bought her a Rolex (cost $8800) and my mother is very apparently jealous. In the end, the story is not valid though. My auntie's daughter did not really buy her the Rolex.
   
6. As and when, my mother uses words like 烂 to describe me, or things associated with me.

Anyway, this morning I washed Hersheys' bowl, which was damaged by mother. In the end, I suffered a cut. TMD.

Looni: I was so worried about my hair being ugly loh. Luckily it was still ok. Anyway, haircutting was also problematic. Below is my MSN dialog with Sijia when I whined to her.

Speaking of beauty secrets, my mother bought Manuka Honey today!!! I heard that Manuka honey has great healing properties, as per determined by its UMF properties. But, it is damn exp lah.. 1 small bottle of 500gm costed around $50+ for UMF 18.9. So, my conclusion is that if I am to take Manuka Honey, I will take it neat. If I am to take Honey water, I will take Clover Honey water. :D Btw, I am doing asprin-manuka honey mask now!! *HAPPY*

I think I am damn good at linking things.. from horny to assets to skipping to Rain to Kevin to manuka honey. WOOTS! :D

We went to try clothes for fun. I tried 3 satin dresses and Looni tried 1 cheong sam dress, the satin tube dress which I bought yesterday, and 2 crop cardigans. Looni tried 2 of my dresses which I was trying. And woohoo!!! Guess what I saw!!!

Corni updates..

Corni is not MIA, corni is just busy and more occupied with other frens, so sorry.. so this entry here is to update on u gals what i've been busy with. And I MISS you all.. I missed out so many things liao la.. zZz.. Btw one of my resolutions for 2008 is cannot organise any activties except for bday and gradution trip but i'll still try to attend gatherings! I guess CNY should be the next ba, hope I'd not be too stressed out from FR consol.. Killer!!!! Cui.......

1st week of jan:
1. busy preparing gift for my fren who performed in SIM FPA play. For those who know, she is regina. So went for the play on Sat followed by chit chat supper till 3 or 4am..

2. busy catching up with my fren who has left for Shanghai for her IA for 6 months. for those who know, she is olivia. So went to send her off on Sun but her flight is 1am so ya.. reach home at 3-4am again. Pon FR the next day but make it up on wed..

2nd week of jan:
1. I really did my work.. 27 FR qns from mon to thur.. and MM assignment. Chiong ar.. Study like no day and night on top of my work.

2. Kena jio out on Fri night for dinner at Holland V followed by pubbing with regina, my jc guy fren (jingxi) and wilfred. reached home at 3-4am AGAIN.. cab fare xiong sia. that day spend abt $70+++ but i had FUN la. haha.

3. finally settled down to study at west coast mac with wilfred and sth happened... =) Btw west coast is so much longer than i thought so we ended up exploring and walked a few bus stops and chatted.. Hmmm.. Previously Horni and Mini was against our unhealthy relationship right? Fear not now! Cos he admitted he still has feelings for me all along. He said he treat me as a fren but he said he never say he didnt like me ar, he is so bad la.. for all the foolish tears. He admitted he dunno whether he is stubborn to insisit he is not ready bcos the way we are now are already like together liao. So last night, sth happen (let ur imagination run wild ba... wahahaha) but we still continue the way we are cos he wants me to study hard first. dont worry horni, actually we realise both of us share the same idea of our future together. we've really been thru a lot b4 we get back together again so really hope can last and i will cherish this time round. haha.
