An epiphany, late at night....

Have you ever...


Came home real late, and saw your parents waiting for you...

Upon opening the door, they snapped at you for coming home late.

They said they're worried...

"But what could have happened?" you think...

And you wish they didn't wait up...



It's 1am now...

Dad's not home yet...

He drove to work in M'sia today.

I'm doing my tutorial as I wait....

I can't concentrate.

Can't help thinking of the "dangerous" roads in Malaysia...

The unfamiliar roads, unlit in the night...



He already said he'll be late...

And probably didn't expect anyone to wait up...

But we're still waiting...



Now I know how my parents may have felt...

whenever I'm home late...

No matter how much you assure them...

The real assurance only arrives back home together with you.



I'll never be pissed off with those "where are you" smses late in the night again...

Or those calls asking "what time will you be home?"

Because I am fortunate...

I know I'm loved...
